Opioid Awareness Toolkit — “Cut Short”

Project Goals

The primary goal is to raise awareness by identifying common opioids and risks of addiction. The secondary goal is  educate people on safe disposal of unused opioids

Project Description

The project consisted of several components: 

  •  A series of digital spots were created and launched on YouTube and Facebook in September 2019.  The digital spots were also shared at the Minnetonka football webcasts during all home games Sept to mid Oct in 2019. 
  • Social Media included stories pushed out organically.
  • Ads were posted in MN Daily paper, High school Sports Programs including Anoka, Apple Valley, Burnsville, Benilde St. Margaret’s, Centennial, Champlin Park, Spring Lake Park, St. Louis Park, Tartan, Wayzata, and Minnetonka)
  • With the success of the awareness campaign, HealthPartners created a toolkit for employers and the community recognize the dangers of opioids and learn why it’s important to safely dispose of unused prescription medication.
