Collaboration Plan Mobile Substance Use Disorder Support Program

Mobile Substance Use Disorder Support (SUDS) Program

Project Goals

To help people with who wrestle with both substance abuse and mental health challenges get the care and attention they need and deserve.

Project Description

Many people with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders bounce from crisis to crisis without receiving adequate support. To end this cycle, our Mobile SUDS Team provides a comprehensive set of services during the critical period following a participant’s hospital or detox center visit, providing assistance and connecting them to ongoing support in their communities. By taking this approach, the program also frees up hospital and residential care services for others in need.

Entities Involved

The Mobile SUDS Program is a collaborative effort involving organizations from across the East Metro. Referrals are made by local hospitals and detox facilities. Services are provided by Minnesota Recovery Connection with support from the East Metro Crisis Alliance and Regions Hospital Foundation.
